cancellation + deposit policy
Effective Date: January 18, 2026
This policy applies to Dog Walking, Drop-In Visits, Dog Training, Dog Boarding, and related services booked with dogs of the dunes.
weather, emergencies & extenuating circumstances
dogs of the dunes prioritizes safety for pets, clients, and staff.
- In cases of severe weather, unsafe conditions, or unforeseen circumstances (including but not limited to illness, emergencies, or environmental hazards), services may be cancelled or modified at the discretion of dogs of the dunes.
- If dogs of the dunes is required to cancel a service, reasonable accommodations will be made to reschedule promptly, or alternative solutions will be offered when possible.
- No penalties will be applied to clients when cancellations are initiated by dogs of the dunes due to safety or operational concerns.
dog walking + drop-in visits
24-hour cancellation requirement
Clients must provide at least 24 hours notice to cancel or reschedule a scheduled dog walk or drop-in visit.
- Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled service time will result in the full service fee being forfeited.
- Same-day cancellations and no-shows are charged in full.
no-shows
If a caregiver arrives and the service cannot be completed due to lack of access or communication, the visit is considered a no-show and the full fee will apply.
dog training services
deposit & payment
- A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your training start date.
- The remaining balance is due 24 hours prior to the scheduled start of services.
cancellations
- If training services are canceled after booking, the deposit will be forfeited.
- At the discretion of dogs of the dunes staff, a portion of the deposit may be credited toward future services.
- All training refunds are granted solely at staff discretion and are not guaranteed.
dog boarding services
deposit & payment
- A 50% deposit is required to reserve boarding dates.
- The remaining balance is due 24 hours prior to drop-off.
- If the remaining balance is not received by the due date, dogs of the dunes reserves the right to cancel the reservation.
cancellations
- If boarding services are canceled, the deposit is forfeited.
- At the discretion of dogs of the dunes staff, a portion of the deposit may be applied toward future boarding or training services, particularly when adequate notice is provided.
- Deposits are not guaranteed to be refundable.
additional + future services
Any services not explicitly listed — including nail trims, grooming, or future service offerings — are subject to dogs of the dunes’ booking, payment, cancellation, refund, and safety policies, and are enforced at the discretion of dogs of the dunes staff.
waiver of liability
In no event shall dogs of the dunes be held liable or legally responsible for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, or other damages arising out of or related to the use of this website, the purchase or use of our products or services, or reliance on any information provided herein. By accessing or using this website or purchasing any of our products or services or entering into any other agreements with us, you agree to release and discharge dogs of the dunes from any and all fault, liabilities, costs, expenses, claims, demands, causes of actions, lawsuits, damages, judgements, or any other actions of any kind or nature whatsoever arising out of or in any way related to your use of this website or purchase of our products or services or entering into any other agreements with us, including personal injury or death, whether or not caused by the negligence or wrongful acts of dogs of the dunes.

dogs of the dunes reserves the right to modify, update, revise, or cancel this agreement and our rates or your services at any time.
